Maintaining Your Skin
Taking care of your skin, especially while tanning, is important to maintain a young and beautiful appearance. Here are 5 daily skin care tips to keep your skin looking young and fresh:
Everyone should use a moisturizer to keep skin young looking, fresh, and to prevent wrinkles. Even if you struggle with breakouts, moisturizing your face and body is important in your daily skin care routine. Make sure to put on a light layer of your preferred moisturizer under your makeup and a generous layer before bed. If you struggle with oily skin or acne, find a moisturizer meant for your type of skin.
2. Sleep clean.
Always take your makeup off before you go to bed. Keeping makeup on that has collected dirt and pollutants from the environment during the day can make your skin age faster and cause cellular damage. Clogged pores are also the cause for various skin imperfections and washing your makeup off before bed will let your skin breathe providing your skin with oxygen and allowing it to repair itself while you sleep.
3. Wear sunglasses.
Sunglasses aren’t only made to wear in the tanning bed or at the beach. Make sure to wear sunglasses outside during the day to protect the delicate skin around your eyes from harsh UV rays. Plus, sunnies are a great style staple!
4. Stay hydrated.
Speaking of glasses, you’re only 8 glasses away from happy skin… glasses of water that is. Don’t forget to drink a minimum of 8 8-ounce glasses of water a day to keep a radiant, fresh, younger-looking complexion.
Stress manifests itself externally. Smile in order to keep a calm, relaxed, happy demeanor both inside and out. If you’re feeling down, fake it ‘til you make it! Studies have shown faking a smile releases endorphins, which cause us to feel better and stay positive. Not to mention the benefits of smiling; it not only relieves stress but it boosts your immune system and lowers your blood pressure! And everyone looks much more attractive with a smile on their face!
